   课程简介： 大学英语的教学目标是培养学生的英语综合应用能力，使他们在今后工作和社会交往中能用英语有效地进行口头和书面的信息交流，同时增强其自主学习能力，提高综合文化素养，以适应我国社会发展和国际交流的需要。大学英语教学必须把重点放在打好语言基础上。语言基础包括语言知识和语言应用能力，前者指语音、语法和词汇等方面的知识，后者指综合运用这些知识进行听、说、读、写、译等语言活动的能力。正确的语音语调、扎实的语法、一定的词汇量和熟练的词汇运用能力的提高有助于提高外语学习的效率，有利于提高语言应用能力。语言应用能力的提高也必将促进语言知识的加深和巩固。大学英语教学还应有助于学生开阔视野，扩大知识面，加深对世界的了解，借鉴和吸收外国文化精华，提高文化素养。

Unit 1: SomeStrategies for Learning English

教学要求：

1.了解“语言学习策略”的内涵；

2.理解文章中所介绍的六种英语学习策略的基本内容；

3.掌握文章中的重要单词、短语、句型、阅读及写作技巧；

4.在实际的英语学习中，掌握文中所介绍的英语学习策略的具体运用

教学重点：

2. noun suffixes: -ment, -ion;

Unit 3: ThePresent

教学要求：

1.了解“礼物”的背景知识及内涵；

2.了解故事的六要素及理解文章的主题及寓意；

3.掌握文章中的重要单词、短语、句型、阅读及写作技巧；

4.通过对文章的学习，深刻认识到礼物的真实含义以及认识到应给予老人更多的关怀及陪伴

教学重点：

3.掌握文章中的重要单词、短语、句型、阅读及写作技巧；

4.通过对作家成长历程的进一步分析，突出“时间管理”对于实现梦想的重要性

4.通过对故事内容的进一步反思，理解“真正的善意”的内涵

教学重点：
